Garmin Nuvi 205
The Garmin Nuvi 205 is a personal travel assistant that is always on the go. It is one of the Garmin’s famous entry level navigators. And just like the rest of the 2×5 series, it comes with features that were unavailable in its predecessors or can be found only in the high end models. The Garmin Nuvi 205 sports a 3.5 in. touch screen and includes preloaded maps and destinations all over the world that can be downloaded into the device.
Design and Interface
Aside from its 3.5 in screen display, Garmin Nuvi 205 also comes with a ball-joint window mount that makes it easy to store and a flat black sturdy casing. Its only external control is the power switch. Its micro SD card slot can be used for saving images to view on the device as well as custom POI databases and additional maps. The Garmin Nuvi 205 icons are simplified which makes it very easy to operate. Entering addresses and location is quick and easy, although it doesn’t offer spell assistance features.
Easy Navigation
The Garmin Nuvi 205 is already preloaded with the City Navigator map data for any country or region of choice. Navigation continues to be very good with the Garmin Nuvi 205. It offers a variety of ways for you to select your destination, with a complete POI listing of stores, shops, businesses and other municipal locations. The Garmin Nuvi 205 has only one voice and doesn’t pronounce street names. But on the brighter side, you also get to switch to the pedestrian or bicycling mode. The device also features an SOS mode that uses your current location to search the nearest gas stations, hospitals and police stations.
